Celebrating the Full Circle and Reconciliation Awards 2024

On Friday night, Brisbane City Hall was alive with celebration as we gathered for the prestigious Full Circle and Reconciliation Awards.

This annual event, which recognises achievements across UnitingCare Queensland, brought together staff, volunteers, and partners from BlueCare, UnitingCare, Lifeline, and ARRCS, reflecting the strength and diversity of our organisation. The awards honour the efforts of our people across Queensland and the Northern Territory, who are committed to improving the lives of thousands of Australians through compassionate care and meaningful innovation.

With more than 850 nominations received this year, the 12 winners reflect our shared vision of being Australia’s most trusted provider of health and community services. The event is not just about acknowledging exceptional achievements but also about inspiring a broader commitment to our values of compassion, justice, and reconciliation across all UnitingCare brands.

Our BlueCare 2024 winners

• The Heat Safety Team Winner of the Safe and Sound Award for its proactive response to Queensland’s extreme weather conditions. The team’s campaign equipped staff and clients with critical heat safety measures, ensuring the well-being of all.

• Flynn Chiem Winner of the Wish I’d Thought of That Award for creating an innovative virtual occupational therapy service, providing crucial care to clients in rural and remote communities who previously had limited access.

• IEI Traineeship with Kabi Kabi Program Recipient of the Aboriginal & Torres Strait Islander Leadership Reconciliation Award for its culturally-focused traineeship program at Pinangba, fostering connection and leadership within the community.
