New school-based traineeship pilot in aged care
BlueCare, in collaboration with Connect ‘n’ Grow, is excited to launch a new Certificate III in Health Services Assistance school-based traineeship in residential aged care. This pilot program offers high school students an opportunity to gain practical experience, develop valuable skills, and explore a career in the aged care sector.
What is the traineeship about?
This traineeship allows students to:
- Work towards a nationally recognised Certificate III in Health Services Assistance
- Gain hands-on experience in a real aged care environment
- Learn directly from experienced aged care professionals
- Make a meaningful impact in the lives of older Australians
Pilot locations and tour dates
To help students better understand the traineeship and what a career in aged care involves, we’re hosting on-site tours at our five pilot locations for students from our training partner:
- Mackay – 11 March
- Cairns – 20 March
- Mango Hill – 18 March
- Warana – 20 March
This pilot is an important step in preparing the next generation of aged care workers. Following a review of the pilot, BlueCare will consider extending the school-based traineeship initiative to other locations.
